Deccan Chargers and Royal Challengers Banglore can be called as unpredictable as a match that has Pakistan as one of the participating team. It adds more of unpredictability that the Deccan Chargers are playing in their home turf as they have a very poor record in Hyderabad. The Royal Challengers Banglore on the other hand won their match against debutant team Kochi Tuskers Kerala.

Deccan Chargers have some amazing talent in their ranks with the skipper Sangakkara leading the batting line up with support from JP Duminy, Daniel Christian, Shikhar Dhawan and Manpreet Gony. Their bowling too is very good on paper with the likes of Dale Steyn, Ishant Sharma, Amit Mishra and Pragyan Ojha. So as of their team is concerned they are good, its just a question of putting their abilities on the field on the given match day and making it count. The will also like to break their jinx about being bad in their home ground and put some points on the table in the match today.

Royal Challengers Banglore, they've just won a match against Kochi Tuskers Kerala and might prove to have an edge over the Deccan Chargers considering the pressure the home team might be under. Royal Challengers Banglore is led by Daniel Vettori who is very good with his left arm spin supported by Dirk Nannes and all rounder Dilshan. Their batting is far more superior considering the fact that they have an explosive opener in Dilshan and with able support from Saurabh Tiwari, AB de Villiers and Pujara.

Both teams will try and get the upper hand in today's encounter as it would prove to be a big confidence booster in their upcoming encounters against tougher opponents. The tournament is still in its very early stages and every team is hoping to get their points tally and test their composition to build a strong team for the knock out stages. Both teams will be considering options for their batting lineup as the Sri Lankan players are expected to leave early for their encounter against England coming up soon. It will be a nice game of cricket with both teams trying to prove their mettle against the other.

It will be a classic case of ‘friends turning into foes’ when Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) clash with Gautam Gambhir led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the opening match of the IPL tomorrow, less than a week after the duo guided India to their historic World Cup triumph in Mumbai.

As the cash-rich Twenty20 cricketing extravaganza gets underway at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, it will be the beginning of new era sans Lalit Modi, who was the face of the event during the first three editions.

Also this will be the first time that the league will feature 10 teams with the inclusion of Pune Warriors and Kochi Tuskers Kerala.

It will be there for all to see how the BCCI organises an event where Modi used to have a final say in every aspect.

India vs Sri lanka live World Cup 2011 final will probably be the last Cricket World Cup match of two contemporary legends, batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar and bowling great Muttiah Muralitharan. Sachin Tendulkar has added numerous feathers in his cap with the exception of the Cricket World Cup trophy, whereas Murali has lifted the trophy in the 1996 Cricket World Cup.

Sri Lanka were touted as the second- best team at the start, so in a sense, the favourites have lived up to their top billing. While commonplace in other sports, this has not always been the case in the past in cricket. India and Pakistan were rated very low in 1983 and 1992 respectively, and Sri Lanka were considered upstarts in 1996.

The finalists of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, India and Sri Lanka, have played 128 matches so far with each other and the record is in favour of India by 67-50 (NR: 11). In World Cup matches Sri Lankans are leading by 4-2. At the venue of the final match of the Cricket World Cup 2011, both teams have won one match each.

In the India vs Sri Lanka World Cup 2011 final match on Saturday, Indian fast bowler Ashish Nehra, who bowled exceptionally well in the semi final against Pakistan in Mohali, is battling an injury because of a fractured right hand middle finger.

Sri Lanka coach Trevor Bayliss has said spin wizard Muttiah Muralitharan will play his last international match on Saturday at Wankhede Stadium despite his fitness problem, which include hamstring injury, side strain, troublesome knee and a groin issue.

In the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, the Indian team will have to give attention to fielding. Throughout the tournament Indian fielding has been an area of concern for the captain and team management, though India has fielded well in crucial encounters against Australia and Pakistan.

There is promise therefore that the two best sides in the tournament will provide a humdinger, though even that is not necessarily a guarantee. The vicissitudes of sport respect neither reputation nor past record; form on the day alone matters.

Going by sentiments expressed over the past six weeks, players from both teams would like to win this title for their respective icons. This is understandable when you consider that these guys go by the names of Sachin Tendulkar and Muttiah Muralitharan, two of the greatest players in the history of the game.

Sachin Tendulkar’s billion fanatical supporters already believe that MS Dhoni’s team has won the World Cup; after all, the two preceding wins were over holders Australia and arch rivals Pakistan. So the rest should be easy.

But that is delusionary. The most important match still remains and I believe Sri Lanka will be no pushovers, for they have other sterling attributes too apart from the sentimental incentive of ‘ doing it for Murali’. Lanka’s batting has struck very good form over the last couple of games — though Mahela Jayawardene needs a big score soon – and the bowling has been second to none in wicket- taking efficiency in this tournament.

In fielding, I would believe they hold a distinct edge over India. India’s strength was considered to be its batting. But in the last two games, the bowling has been splendid and the fielding tigerish. Sehwag at the top and Raina at number 7 provide the flourish in batting which is matched by the virtuosity of Tendulkar, the solidity of Gambhir and Kohli, and the born- again brilliance of Yuvraj Singh.

Indeed Yuvraj’s rise to eminence as the cup’s premier all- rounder has played a significant role in India’s success, especially with his ability to pick up wickets and complete his quota of overs.

The India vs Sri Lanka World Cup 2011 final match is likely to be an entertaining cricket match. Let's see on Saturday, April 2, at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, who will play like a real champion, Sachin Tendulkar or Muttiah Muralitharan
